The Airlie Guest House is a family friendly B&B located in the Newington area of Edinburgh which is on the South side of the City. This is the Old Town side of the City. We are just over 1 mile from Princes Street on the main A701, only 3 miles from the Straiton exit of the Edinburgh City by-pass. Our location means that we are easily accessible whether you are arriving from the North or the South, by car, plane, bus or rail. The Newington area offers a large choice of eating establishments, almost all tastes are catered for locally including, Indian, Chinese, Thai, Italian, fish and chips, pubs, a coffee house, delicatessen and sandwich shops. There is also a newsagent directly opposite the guest house, plus several banks, a post office, grocery stores, a launderette, bakery and children’s playground all within a 10 minute walk of the Guest House. We are also within a 15 minute walk of the Festival Theatre, Queens Hall and the Royal College of Surgeons.
If you are visiting by car, finding somewhere to stay in Edinburgh with parking can sometimes be a problem, but not at the Airlie bed & breakfast. We have a large private Car Park at the rear of the Guest House which can accommodate all of our Guests cars, no need to reserve a space. This takes the worry (and potential cost) out of where to park your car while you are resident with us.
