If you keep walking past the swimming pool you will enter the Royal Park and see in front of you Arthur's Seat which is an extinct volcano. There is a path which you can follow to the top and from there you will have a spectacular view of the City of Edinburgh and Fife.
For those who do not want to walk up the hill there is a road and you can drive to the top and enjoy the view that way.
